Aspergers Puzzle Necklace Autism Awareness in Sterling Silver - Simons Necklace

I have made this sterling silver necklace celebrating Asperger's Syndrome and Autism Awareness Month, and in honor of my "aspie" son Simon. I have named it Simon's Necklace....and I wear mine shown in the photos above, to proudly show support for him and everyone who has been touched by someone who has Asperger's or is on the Autism Spectrum.

I have textured my sterling silver sheet with a lovely and intricate scrolling floral design. I then saw each puzzle piece out by hand as well as the tiny heart, which I have left in smooth sterling. I solder the two pieces together, and solder on a floating bail onto the back side. The entire piece is tumbled for strength, and polished, and then oxidized and given a hand rubbed finish to bring out all of the details. I have hung the pendant on an 18" sterling silver cable chain with a lobster claw clasp. The pendant itself measures approximately 1" square or 25mm. The tiny heart is left brightly polished for contrast against the oxidized puzzle piece. If you would prefer this piece brightly polished with no oxidation that is no problem at all! Alternately, I can just oxidize the pendant, and leave the chain shiny...the choice is yours.

***Please Note; each puzzle piece is made to order, and will vary slightly from the pictures shown, as no two are exactly alike, but I promise that yours will be just as lovely. Please allow up to one week from the time your order is placed, for your necklace to be finished and shipped to you. Also, please send me an email if you prefer a shiny polished, non oxidized finish. The necklace will come oxidized as shown unless otherwise requested.

It will arrive to you in a glossy black and white gift box tied with a black satin ribbon and securely packaged for safe shipping.

I will donate a portion of all proceeds to Autism Speaks. To find out more about Asperger's and Autism you can read the wealth of information located here >>>>>
